GALION — Looking to bounce back from a Friday night loss in Lexington, the Northmor boys basketball team played host to the Bucyrus Redmen on Saturday. The Golden Knights were able to hand the Redmen their second loss in two days, beating Bucyrus by a final of 67-50. Northmor is now 1-1 and Bucyrus sits at 0-2.

The Knights’ victory was fueled by strong performances from two Kegleys. Kyle Kegley scored 17 points against the Redmen and grabbed five rebounds. Tyler Kegley added a double-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds and also swatted away four shots. Brock Pletcher also chipped in 13 points to aid in the Northmor win at home.

Northmor took a slim 16-14 lead into the second quarter but began to pull away and took a 38-26 lead into the locker room. The second half didn’t see as much scoring as the Knights remained ahead and outscored the Redmen 29-24 in the second half.
