Colonel Crawford girls basketball team earns first win against Northmor

GALION — The Northmor Golden Knights girls basketball team played host to the Colonel Crawford Eagles in their first game of the 2016-2017 season. Crawford walked away with the first game victory, defeating Northmor by a score of 51-39.

The Eagles got out to a first quarter lead of 10-4 and never looked back. They carried a 24-20 lead into halftime before outscoring the Knights 27-19 in the second half to gain the victory.

Karalee Patterson was Northmor’s top scorer on the night, finishing with 17 points while Brooke Bennett tacked on 13 for coach Uhde’s squad.

For coach Fenner and Colonel Crawford, Ashley Gwirtz had 17 total points and Alexus Burkhart added 14 in the victory.
