Loudonville rolls over Crestline, 44-7

LOUDONVILLE — The Crestline Bulldogs continued their four-game season-ending road trip Friday, traveling to Loudonville to meet up with the Redbirds in Mid-Buckeye Conference play.

The Redbirds won easily against the struggling Bulldogs to pick up their first win of the season; 44-7.

Crestline drops to 3-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play while Loudonville is now 1-8 and 1-2 in inner-conference matchups.

The Bulldogs were only able to rack up 108 yards of total offense against the Redbirds. The ground game equated for 43 total yards on 25 rushing attempts and Crestline gained 65 yards through the air.

Quarterback JR Wolfe was the leading rusher for the Bulldogs with 57 yards on nine attempts and the lone touchdown for his squad. He also added the extra point, making him responsible for all seven of the Crestline points. Wolfe was 8/19 passing for the game, good for 65 yards and an interception. Caleb Moore was one of four receivers with at least one catch. Moore had one grab for 24 yards to lead all receivers in yards. Chandler Gaskill and Ty Clark had three catches apiece for 20 and 18 yards respectively. Davon Triplett had the other reception on the night, gaining 18 yards on the catch.

Crestline will close out the season next Saturday in Fostoria against the St. Wendelin Mohawks. St.Wendelin sits at 3-6 overall this season. Loudonville will hit the road to take on the 8-1 Shelby Whippets on Friday.
