WEST SALEM — The Galion Tigers girls soccer team concluded their first regular season Wednesday, on the road at West Salem.

Every match this year has been on the road as Galion does not have a regulation-size field yet. Against the Northwestern Hustkies, the Tigers were unable to get off any shots on goal, dropping an 8-0 decision.

Allison DeNero allowed four goals and prevented another with her only save for the match. Drucilla Singer subbed in for DeNero and snagged seven additional saves for the Galion squad.

Looking forward, Galion will travel to Rawson to meet up with the Cory-Rawson Hornets on Monday Oct.17 in sectional play.

As for the future of the young soccer program, coach Eric Palmer states, “we have a lot of work to do, but the girls are ready to put in the time and so am I.”
