Elgin no match for Northmor volleyball team

GALION — The Northmor Knights volleyball team played in their third match in three days Thursday. This time it was Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Blue Division rival Elgin. The Knights won 25-19, 18-25, 25-19, 25-19 to improve to 7-2 in the Blue Division and 13-2 overall.

Offensively for the Knights, it was Anna Donner and Kelsie Fike leading the way. Donner was 41/44 hitting with 15 kills. Fike went 24/29 on the attack with 11 kills. Rayanna Loyer posted five kills and the ever busy Jordyn Zoll had four kills. Zoll was 72/75 setting with 22 assists. Caitlin Thebeault contributed 14 assists .

Leading the way with 18 digs was Cristianna Boggs, Donner with 16 digs and Lindsey Wiseman recorded 13. Loyer racked up three solo blocks.

When it came to serve receiving, Northmor was 69/73 as a team. From the service line, Hope Miracle went a perfect 21/21 with an ace. Zoll was 26/27 with four aces and Donner was perfect as well, going 17/17 from the service line and contributing two aces.
