BUCYRUS — The Galion Tigers tennis team looked to get back to their winning ways on Tuesday when they met up with the Bucyrus Lady Redmen. Galion did just that, defeating Bucyrus 3-2. The Tigers improve their season record to 10-4 with the victory.

Kayley Gimbel was on the court at first singles for Galion and won her match 6-1, 6-1. Gimbel boosts her record on the season to 14-2. At second singles, Katherine Talbott improved to 13-4 on the year, defeating her Bucyrus foe 6-0, 6-1. Jalyn Oswald had no trouble winning her match at third singles. Oswald rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win and is now 16-3 for the year.

Kiersten Gifford and Marissa Breinich were again at first doubles for the Tigers. The duo was unable to get things going and dropped their matchup; 4-6, 2-6. The second doubles team of Katie Baughn and Orchid Parsons gave their Lady Redman opponents a long fought match, but came up short; 1-6, 7-5, 7-10 (tie break).
