MARION — Galion boys golf team competed against Marion Pleasant at Marion Country Club on Tuesday evening. While keeping it close for most of the match, the Tigers eventually lost to the Spartans by a final score of 175-182.
Medalist for the match for Galion was Jack McElligott, who turned in a final score of 40. Six shots behind McElligott was both Mitch Dyer and Matt Kingseed, adding 46 apiece. Kaleb Harsh contributed the final kept score for the team with a final score of 50. Nick Kruger also shot a 53 and Brevin Owens wrapped up the Galion scores with a 54 on the night.
The boys team now sits at 4-4 in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Red Division. They will take to Sycamore Creek Golf Course on Thursday, playing host to fellow Red Division foes River Valley and Jonathon Alder.
