On Wednesday, Northmor lost a close one at home to East Knox by a 13-12 margin.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-1 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning, but the Knights battled back with sixth runs in that inning to take a one-run lead. However, they gave up four in the sixth and three more in the seventh. While they scored five runs during those final two innings, it wasn’t quite enough.

Shelbey Lilly suffered the loss, she struck out six and walked one, but surrendered 23 hits. The Knights finished with 18 hits in the offensive-minded contest. Cristianna Boggs, Karlee Carroll and Lydia Farley all had three hits, with Carroll smacking a pair of doubles. Lily Tate had a home run and single, while Aly Blunk added a double and single and both Deanna Delaney and Kelsey Fike also had two hits.
