BUCYRUS — Robin Miller and Ryan Stahl each drove a pair of winners in the final evening of harness racing at the Crawford County Fair yesterday.

For the second time in as many days, nine races were on the card.

Miller drove Amos Moses to victory in the second race that consisted of 2-year-old filly pacers.

Miller made it back-to-back wins by driving Ohio Frontier to first place in the third race that featured 3-year-old colt trotters.

Stahl — who a day earlier picked up five victories — drove Jazz Spur to the top spot in the evening’s fifth race comprised of 3-year-old colt trotters.

Three races later, Stahl and Funny Lena crossed the finish line first in a race consisting of 3-year-old filly pacers.

Others winners yesterday were: Golden Fizz (driven by Kurt Sugg) in the first race comprised of 3-year-old filly pacers, the Scott Cox-driven Dontevenknowmyname in the fourth race featuring 2-year-old filly trotters, Rockin H Winnie (Charlie Myrick) in the sixth race consisting of 2-year-old filly trotters, Lima Lucky (JD Wengerd) in the seventh race comprised of 3-year-old colt trotters, plus Ray J (Jim Larrabee) in the evening’s final race known as a Free For All for trotters meaning horses of any age and gender were allowed to compete.

In that last race there was quite a variety of experience amongst the horses. Glide Right ran to a third place spot in its first race ever, while Son O’ Light — which has earned more than $100,00 in its career — competed for the 258th time.

The biggest payout on a two dollar wager was $20.20 for bettors who picked Rockin H Winnie to win in the sixth race.
