Jack A. Gallentine

Jack A. Gallentine of Bucyrus died Sunday evening at home following a lengthy illness, he was 79 years of age. Jack was born in Crestline on August 3, 1930 to the late Wayne and Beniva (Sears) Gallentine. He was married April 26, 1947 to Evelyn Joan (Hall) Gallentine who survives. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by son Steve; sister Jane Barker and brother in law Don Hall.

Mr. Gallentine is also survived by daughter Rebecca (Herb) Spears, Bucyrus; grandchildren Jill (Brad) Gross, Mich; Corey (Becky) Travis, Delaware, Ohio; Leah (Greg) Seals, Toledo; Zohn (Pam) Spears, Bucyrus; Dawn Spears, Fairview Park, Ohio; great-grandchildren Brandon and Jared Gross, Mich; Cole, Kaylee, and Kelsey Travis, Delaware; Courtney Snow, Toledo; Alyssa, Dylan and Hayden Spears, Bucyrus and Rylie, Drew, Brendon Seals of Toledo; sister-in-law Betty Baldwin of Galion as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jack retired 33 years ago as a Lineman working with the Brotherhood of Electrical Lineman. He lived most of his life in Bucyrus, was a champion trap shooter, enjoyed golf and vacationing in Florida with his wife.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at 3 p.m. in Nevada Cemetery with Rev. Ted Thomas officiating, there will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Home Care Hospice or the Crawford County Conservation League through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
