Nicole “Nikki” Simmering

Nicole “Nikki” Simmering, 19, of Ontario, died early Saturday morning, July 17, 2010 at Medina General Hospital. Born August 1, 1990 in Mansfield she is the daughter of Mark and Mary (Weaver) Barker. She graduated from Northmor High School.

Nicole was a free spirit, who had no fear, and she was always joking around with others. She enjoyed riding four-wheelers, jet skiing and horses. Her greatest enjoyment came from being with her two-and-one-half-year old daughter, Madison. She also enjoyed being in the company of her many family and friends.

In addition to her daughter, Madison Pickering, she is survived by her parents, Mary and Mark Barker; grandmother, Stella Weaver; sisters, Brandi (Jeff) Anderson and Jaime (Wayne) Crouse; the love of her life and father of her daughter, Travis Pickering; nieces and nephews, Jaxson, Jor-dan, Kayla, Allen and Hannah; special aunt, Cathy (Todd) Rox; aunt, Peggy (Paul) Barker; and uncle, John (Cami) Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Martin Weaver; great-grandparents, Alvin and Mary Withem, Joel Stamper and June Price.

Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Direc-tors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Mansfield. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
