Community outreach dinner set at Galion church

GALION — St. Paul United Methodist Church, 746 Cherry St., Galion, will have a Community Outreach Dinner Wednesday, July 27 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. The outreach dinners are always the last Wednesday of the month. Donations are accepted to help pay for the event. Carry out isavailable. No home delivery is planned.

The church will have it’s food pantry open July 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. The food pantry is the third Saturday of each month. Galion residents only, and bring a photo ID and proof of residency (phone,utility bill, etc.)

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL —Community Christian Church, corner of Ohio 19 and Biddle Road, will offer Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 11 through 15 for ages 3-years to fifth-grade. For more information, call 419-462-5683.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL — Seven local churches are sponsoring a Vacation Bible School from July 10-14. Weather permitting, a pool day is scheduled for Kelly Park pool in Crestline. The program begins at 5 p.m. with a meal followed by singing, crafts, stories and physical activities. A bus will gather the children between 4 and 4:45 p.m. every day. The bus will return children home around 8 pm. The age is preschool to 5th grade.

The VBS program is called “Cave Quest: Following Jesus, the Light of the World.”

Children will meet at Calvary United Church of Christ at 511 Heiser Cour. in Crestline (next to the old North School). There is no charge for the program and adults are welcomed to help. Registration forms are at the following participating churches: Church of God in Prophecy, Trinity Lutheran, First United Methodist Church, Turner Chapel, Love Action Church, St. Joseph’s, and Calvary United Church of Christ. All children are welcomed.

GOD’S LITTLE ACRE MARKET — God’s Little Acre Market will take place every Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parking lot of First Presbytarian Church, 240 S. Market St., in Galion. For more information contact Sharon Landes at 419-845-3540.
