The Portland Way bridge was closed to all traffic on Tuesday. As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation’s road widening project, the bridge is being completely replaced. The project is scheduled to last 90 days, which takes the construction to Nov. 16 (assuming it stays on schedule).
Portland Way South is open to two-way traffic again, but there is still construction on the west side of the road. The road widening will continue moving north through the end of the fall. Hesby Drive is open to traffic but there is still construction on the Heise Park Lane extension and the access drives for Burger King and Pizza Hut.
Drivers are reminded to use caution when driving through any of these construction zones.
