The 2014 Junior Fair Royalty Contest was held on Sunday, July 13. The ladies were well-represented with nine competing for the queen crown and 11 competing for princess. The races for king and prince each had two gentlemen competing.
First each contestant gave a brief bio. This was followed by the king and queen candidates answering the traditional fish bowl questions, in which they drew random questions out of a bowl. Some of the questions were random, but most involved how being a part of the Crawford County Fair helps young people succeed in life.
The panel of judges then deliberated and the results were presented just minutes later.
Crowning of the Fair Queen was saved for last during the program to keep the audience in suspense. This title went to Morgan Coffman, daughter of Chuck and Amy Coffman. Queen Attendant went to Morgan Wurm, daughter of David and Tammy Wurm.
Douglas Reer, son of Donnie and Joyce Reer, was crowned Fair King. Daniel Garrett, son of Ray and Pam Garrett, received King Attendant.
Fair Princess went to Grace Cornell, daughter of John and Cynthia Cornell. Princess Attendant went to Aryn Copeland, daughter of Carl and Lauren Copeland.
Nathan Bishop, son of Michael and Kathryn Bishop, was named Fair Prince. Nick Fike, son of Todd and Jackie Fike, received Prince Attendant.
