Heise Park was full of people and cars for Galion’s fireworks show on Saturday night. Throughout town, residents congregated on lawns and in parking lots as well.
The show lasted about 20 minutes and had plenty of colors to rouse “ooh’s and ah’s” from the spectators.
On the Inquirer Facebook page, Tara Rupp commented: “Display was awesome!!”
Linda Miller said via Facebook: “The Galion fireworks was one of the best that I have seen in Galion. Great job to all involved in the fireworks show.”
It was a spectacular end to a day full of activities on July 5.
That morning, there was a 5K run/walk at Amanns Reservoir. Galion Golden Age Center’s fourth annual car show was held in Heise Park from 10-4. Forty-five people registered their rides for it.
At the bandshell, bands performed all afternoon. A variety of food vendors were set up nearby.
Local band Crazy Gringos took the stage that evening, to give a chill summertime performance before the sky lit up.
