Buckeye Central officials discuss possibility of new auxiliary gym

0

At March’s meeting, Buckeye Central School District administration and board members continued discussion regarding the 2007 Series bonds re-funding and the possibility of building an auxiliary gym with the savings.

The approximate $650,000 savings would need to be combined with additional general/permanent improvement funding to consider the project. The gymnasium discussion centers on a district need for additional space for the many youth sports teams and daytime school activities throughout the school year. It must be determined whether the overall cost can be covered through the savings and current district funding levels.

Further exploration will take place with the goal of determining the viability of the potential project over the next two to three months.
