Ohio. Gov. John Kasich kept his hopes alive for the Republican nomination with a win in the Ohio GOP Presidential Primary on Tuesday.
But Republican frontrunner Donald Trump’s resounding victory in Florida ended the campaign for Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
In Ohio, Kasich has a convincing lead over Trump (43 percent to 37 percent), while Cruz is in third place, while Rubio is in fourth.
“I’d like to thank the great people in the state of Ohio,” Kasich said Tuesday night at a victory rally.
In Florida, Rubio urged the fight against Trump to continue as he suspended his bid.
“Do not give in to the fear,” Rubio said. “Do not give in to the frustration.”
On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton is leading Bernie Sanders 56.6 percent-42.5 percent.
