Three men arrested after a drug raid on a Bucyrus residence last week made initial appearances in Crawford County Municipal Court on Thursday.

Jude Shane Leuthold set bond at $500,000 for Dustn L. Nolen, 29, Bucyrus, and Cordale Dawain Davis, 27, Cleveland, and at $100,000 for James E. Shope Jr., Bucyrus.

On Wednesday, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Bucyrus and Galion Police Departments and the METRICH Enforcement Unit, concluded a drug investigation at 1301 Monnett St., resulting in the arrests of the three men. Heroin, cocaine, syringes and cash were seized by officers.

Nolen and Davis are facing one count each of trafficking in drugs, third-degree felonies, while Shope is facing one charge of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

If convicted, Shope could face up to one year in prison while Nolen and Davis could serve three years in prison.

The three cases have been scheduled for preliminary hearings in Municipal Court next week but may be bound over to the next session of the Crawford County Grand Jury.

In Crawford County Common Pleas Court:

* Curtis Newcome, 23, Crestline, was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of drug possession, a third-degree felony. Judge Sean Leuthold also suspended his driver’s license for six months and he must pay a $5,000 fine.

* Samantha Dyer, 28, Bucyrus, was sentenced to eight months in prison on one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Leuthold also suspended her driver’s license for six months and she must pay a $1,250 fine.

* Stephanie Arbogast, 23, Galion, is heading to prison for one year after she admitted to violating the terms of her community control.
