Master/President Donald Graf presided over the meeting for Leesville Grange #2078/Crawford Co. Pomona Grange #36 which met at Jefferson Twp. Fire Dept. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Chaplain Dorothy Eckert offered prayer followed by Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag.

The Legislative report was about scammers targeting seniors, new sports complex in Crawford County, Germany’s concern about purchasing grain containing genetically modified organisms and primary voting is March 15 in Ohio. Legislative Conference is April 23 held at Holiday Inn in Worthington.

The Family Activities Chairperson talked about State Baking entry requirements for labeling must be attached to the outside of the entry. All Junior Grange Family Activity entries to be taken to Ohio State Grange convention.

The Deaf Activities Chairman talked about distribution of hats, gloves and scarves, school supplies and other items to various deaf schools. Author Cece Bell, a deaf author, has written an autobiography called “El Deafo” and done illustrations for other books.

Deaf Activities and Family Activities Spring Fling will be held March 19 at Friendly Hills Camp.

Community Service Chairman thanked all who brought items for Crestline Food Pantry.

Tom Laughbaum, Crawford County Agricultural Secretary, brought the Leesville Grange ad for Crawford County fairbook. It was reviewed and renewed for this year’s book.

The plans for the Leesville Grange 100th anniversary banquet being held on April 30 at Calvary UCC at 6:00 PM were finalized.

Lecturer’s Program theme for the evening was “National Ag Day-The Contribution of Agriculture in Our Everyday Lives”.

The next regular Leesville Grange meeting will be held at the Jefferson Twp. Fire Department on Tuesday April 5 at 6:30 p.m. Lunch is a taste of Italy.
