University of Akron students “stayed up for good” and sacrificed a night of sleep in honor of the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Alexander Roberts of New Washington, with more than 70 in attendance, enjoyed free food, UA’s a capella organizations, and Syringe Painting, an activity also done as art therapy at St. Jude to express feelings in artistic outlets. Combined with the last nine years of fundraising, Zips for St. Jude has donated $308,746.62 to support cancer research.
