7:24am Officers checked the 1200 block of John St. regarding a 911 hang up.

8:09am A false alarm was received by FC Bank, 105 Washington Square.

9:00am Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 1600 block of Marion Rd.

10:37am A report of a vehicle sliding off the roadway in the 1800 block of Marion Rd.

12:23pm A report of a disturbance in the 1100 block of Rosedale Ave. was investigated.

1:23pm Officers warned a couple of juveniles against sliding down the hill on E. Mansfield St.

1:39pm A motorist was given a warning for manner of driving in the 1700 block of Hopley Ave.

1:44pm Officers checked the welfare of a man in the 200 block of Nauman Ave.

2:51pm A resident in the 1500 block of E. Mansfield Street reported prescription medication stolen from her residence.

3:17pm Officers checked a report of an open building in the 1400 block of E. Southern Avenue. The building was secure, but had a screen that was damaged.

3:23pm A Bucyrus resident came to the Police Department to speak to an officer about a possible scam.

3:25pm Multiple calls came in about a telephone scam claiming to be from the Treasury Department. Residents are advised that the IRS or Treasury Department does not start any proceedings for any past due amounts over the phone. These phone calls will always be a scam and residents are advised not to give out any personal information to these callers.

3:29pm Curtis Newcome, 23, was arrested on a charge of Possession of Drugs. He was issued a summons and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

4:41pm A domestic disturbance at Woodbine Apartments was investigated.

4:46pm A minor accident in the area of Irving and Sandusky Avenue was investigated.

5:37pm Officers assisted a motorist locked out of his vehicle at IB Tech.

6:15pm A burglary alarm in the 500 block of Jones Street led to one person being held for investigation for possible burglary charges when subjects were seen running from the area.

9:45pm A verbal warning was issued to a couple at Outhwaite Reservoir after dark.

9:54pm William Rigney, 50, was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication. He was issued a minor misdemeanor citation and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober.

11:31pm A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of Sandusky Ave and Rensselaer St.

11:41pm A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of Woodlawn Ave. and Lincoln Ave.

Jan. 12

12:28am Officers assisted a State Trooper on State Route 4.

12:59am Officers assisted a citizen needing a place to stay for the night.

2:37am A verbal traffic warning was given in the area of Marion Rd. and S. Poplar St.

3:10am Officers served 4 city income tax summonses in the 400 block of E. Southern Ave.
