RED, WHITE AND BOOM BROADCAST PLANNED – NBC4 (WCMH-TV) presents “Red, White & BOOM!” on Friday, July 3 at 8 p.m. NBC4 anchors Cabot Rea, Colleen Marshall, Dave Mazza and Monica Day will broadcast live from downtown Columbus for the city’s 35th annual Independence Day celebration at NBC4 BOOM! Central. The broadcast site will be located downtown at the corner of Civic Center Drive and Town Street. NBC4 Sports’ Jerod Smalley and Matt Barnes will provide live reports from the John W. Galbreath Bicentennial Park.

The star of the three hour special is the largest Independence Day fireworks show in the Midwest, launching from the east side of C.O.S.I. at 10 p.m.

TWILIGHT PROGRAM SCHEDULED – The Holden Arboretum is now accepting reservations for Perspectives at Woodland Twilight, an annual summer benefit, to be held on Saturday, July 18 from 6 – 10:30 pm. This soiree under the stars is held adjacent to Holden’s wooded trails near the Corning Visitor Center.

This year, The Holden Arboretum celebrates new perspectives as the benefit falls near the conclusion of several major capital renovations that have changed the face of the arboretum including the restoration of Corning Lake and the completion of the Judith and Maynard H. Murch IV Canopy Walk and Kalberer Family Emergent Tower.

Now in its 31st year, the summer tradition continues with enticing cocktails, delectable cuisine and live music in the company of friends new and old. Guests can enjoy an impressive silent auction, seated dinner by Chris Hodgeson of Driftwood Catering and after-dinner drinks surrounded by beautiful blooms and towering trees.

STATE MEETING SET – The Cervid Advisory Committee will meet Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Animal Health Conference Room, 8995 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss current issues pertaining to the deer industry.
