Bucyrus church to offer afternoon Christmas Eve service

0

The people at Bucyrus United Methodist Church are continually seeking ways to make worship available to everyone, especially at Christmas. Many people find themselves left out of Christmas Eve worship services due to weather conditions, driving limitations, family commitments or just the hustle and bustle of the day.

An afternoon Christmas Eve service will be held 3 p.m. Dec. 24 at the Bucyrus UMC Worship Center, 227 Walnut St., Bucyrus. The service features God’s Little Angels children’s choir.

There is also the traditional service at 7:30 p.m., including a musical program with soloists, the 30-voice chancel choir and the praise team, plus the candlelight ceremony.

Both services include Holy Communion and a seasonal message from the pastors. Offerings given that night go to benefit the sister church, St. John UMC in Liberia, Africa. The church is not holding a late-night service as it has in the past.
