The Galion High School hosted its annual National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony Monday, Nov. 16. Nearly 250 family members, friends, Galion staff members and community members attended the celebration of excellence in the High School cafetorium.
The new members of the Galion National Honor Society inducted during the evening’s event included: Abby Barre, Devin Baughn, Sophie Carson, Jared Dixon, Ava Donnersbach, Kirsten Frizzell, Greer Gledhill, Tristen Gosser, Farrah Gregg, Logan Gregg, Lauren Huggins, Rachel Jarvis, Kathrine Keller, Madysen Lawson, Alexis Link, Gabe Makeever, Colin McCullough, Lindzi Moore, Connor Moreton, Nicolas Oehler, Kylie Redman, Natalie Rodriguez, Bradlee Saterfield, Danielle Schieber, Thomas Shawk, Natalie Slone, Kierra Staton, Ryan Talbott, Courtney Taylor, Brianna Wallis and Callie Wildenthaler.
“This is a tremendous honor for these students because they were selected for induction by the teachers,” High School Principal Ron Williams said. “They have worked very hard for this recognition, and I would like to congratulate them and their families on this tremendous accomplishment.”
The Galion City School District Food Service department provided catering services for the evening’s festivities. Local businesses, including KFC, Geyers, Papa John’s, Subway, Culligan Water, Rock Solid Media LLC and Martin & Stone LLC provided food, beverage and monetary donations to assist with the event.
