Crawford County Retired Teachers meeting – November

Crawford County Retired Teachers met for lunch at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crestline on Nov. 16.

Maureen Sharrock led the Pledge of Allegiance to open the meeting. Bill Horning read the devotions with a reading of the “Creation of a Teacher.”

Luncheon was served by the ladies of Trinity Lutheran Church and a free lunch was won by JoAnn Standley. Marjorie Brooks read “A Riddle for Seniors.”

The program was presented by Earl Muzick. He presented his skills and life experiences in drawings and speech!

Nelda Spore reported $4954.68 in the treasury. Joan Heft read the minutes of the last meeting. Jan Maddy moved, Carolyn Sands seconded the motion to accept the reports.

Richard Stearns and Nelda Spore reported 12 new members since the last meeting and 4 more at this meeting.

Stearns reported that Charter Schools are receiving poor accountability to the State.

Sharrock and Heft read obituaries of 16 deceased members. The next meeting will be in April of 2016.
