The latest in a slew of drug busts ended in the arrest of four people on Friday at 1339 High St., in Bucyrus.

The Crawford County Special Response Team, consisting of Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Galion Police, Bucyrus Police, Bucyrus Fire, METRICH, and the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office, served a search warrant at the residence to investigate drug trafficking and drug possession at that location. While detectives continue their investigation, four adults are in custody awaiting formal charges.

Bucyrus Police Chief Dave Koepke said he thanks all the participating agencies for their assistance and cooperation.

“Thank you to residents in the area for your patience and for submitting the complaints,” Koepke said on the department’s Facebook page Friday morning. “This investigation also involves another sad story of addiction and to all in recovery we wish you continued success.”

Koepke encourages residents across the county to report any drug –related activity to the appropriate authorities and to participate in the annual Community Care March at 9 a.m. on Nov. 7 in Bucyrus.

The march will begin in the Bucyrus Community Hospital parking lot and end up at the Good Hope Lutheran Church. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/wh2me.
