Unemployment down through region

The non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in September dropped in four counties near or within the North Central Ohio region.

Crawford County’s unemployment rate was 4.8 percent, down from September 2014’s rate of 5.5 percent, according to data released Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Richland County’s unemployment rate in September dropped to 4.7 percent from 5.7 percent last year.

Knox County’s unemployment rate in September was 3.9 percent compared with 4.6 percent during the same month a year ago, while Morrow County’s unemployment rate was at 4.2 percent, down from 5 percent in September 2014.
