Signature HealthCARE of Galion is proud to announce that it has received accreditation for 2015 as a skilled nursing facility actively performing Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.

The accreditation, presented by independent accreditor Providigm, demonstrates that the facility is continually assessing residents’ quality of life with regard to concerns such as pain, dignity, respect for resident choice and quality of care matters such as adequate staffing, weight loss, infections, rehabilitation following acute injury or illness, and prevention of hospital readmissions.

Signature HealthCARE of Galion is operated by Louisville, Ky.-based Signature HealthCARE, a long-term care, rehabilitation and health care provider with 126 locations in 10 states. More than 100 Signature nursing centers in nine states earned the QAPI accreditation this year.

Signature HealthCARE of Galion received an Advanced Accreditation, a recognition that was unveiled this year and identifies nursing facilities with an “extremely thorough and consistent process of quality improvement work,” according to Providigm.

“We couldn’t be prouder of our team of caregivers for the compassionate, quality care they work so hard to offer, which is reflected by this accreditation,” said Kathy Owens, Chief Nursing Officer for Signature. “These accreditations also demonstrate Signature’s commitment to becoming a valued partner to providers from every facet of health care as our nation’s health care system continues to undergo massive change with a heightened focus on quality improvement.”
