Uncaged Comedy, a great night of laughs, auctions, food, and fun is coming to the Handlebar Ranch in Mt. Gilead on Saturday, November 7, 2015, hosted by the Friends of the Morrow County Dog Shelter.

Local comedians Sue Bump, Mary Miller, and Rhonda Louise Pate will entertain, and festivities will also include silent and live auctions, country bar-b-que appetizers by Tackett’s Southern Bar-b-Que, a cash bar, and a dog “kissing booth.” The new dog shelter will open at 5:00 PM for tours, and the Uncaged Comedy event doors will open at 6:00. Tickets are $20 in advance and are available from This n’ That, or the Morrow County Dog Shelter in Mt. Gilead, and Marengo Hair Salon, in Marengo. A downloadable mail-in ticket purchase form and more information on the event can be found on the Friends of the Morrow County Dog Shelter Facebook page. All profits from the event support the dogs at the Morrow County Dog Shelter.

The Friends group is currently seeking donated items for both the silent and live auctions. Craft items, quilts, pies, bake sale goods, and other donations will be accepted until October 30th. Partnering with the community is a priority for us – businesses donating items or services will be promoted by the group. Several levels of corporate or individual sponsorship are also available. Over the next several weeks, members of the group will be contacting local businesses for donations – or businesses and individuals can contact the group via Facebook, or email at [email protected]. As donations come in, we will post them on our Facebook page. Please help us make this a fabulous, successful event.
