A Bucyrus man was found not guilty of possession of cocaine after a jury deliberated for less than one hour.

Torin Jones, 43, was accused of discarding a bag that contained 9.825 grams of crack cocaine outside of an Ohio Highway Patrol vehicle while he was being investigated for operating a vehicle under the influence during a traffic stop on East Mansfield Street on May 31.

The jury of Jones’ peers found him not guilty of the charge on Thursday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court. Judge Sean Leuthold then ordered Jones released from the Crawford County Justice Center.
