At the suggestion of the Chordsmen front line director Trevor Garrabrant, the Board of Directors appointed Jim Frye as an Assistant Director of the chorus.

Jim is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a music education degree and has served as band director of Northmor from 1986 to 1991 and Upper Sandusky from 1991 to 2001 school systems. He is currently the IT director for the Upper Sandusky school system. He and his wife Cindy are the proud parents of three children and live in Galion.

Jim serves as the president of the Fun Center Chordsmen, is a member of the Music Team and sings tenor in the Home Edition quartet. He is already making plans to attend the Harmony University Directors College next summer to increase his professional directing abilities.

Jim will assist the director in overseeing the increase in quality of the chorus performance, the learning and interpretation of new music directing the chorus in the director’s absence. The Fun Center Chordsmen chorus has members from Richland and surrounding counties.
