The Galion Police Department is asking the community for help in locating 68-year-old Fred Saunders. Sr.

According to reports, Saunders walked away from his residence at 401 S. Union St. at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 24. Saunders suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and is unfamiliar with the area as he has recently moved to the Galion area.

Officials said Saunders was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red Duck Dynasty t-shirt. He is 5 feet 9 inches, approximately 160-190 pounds, has gray hair and should be wearing glasses.

An extensive search was conducted by the Galion Police Department with assistance from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

According to police, he is now possibly wearing a brown, green or camo colored Duck Dynasty shirt. We believe that it is still a Duck Dynasty shirt. The county is utilizing an airplane to fly over the city attempting to locate Saunders. At this time his whereabouts are still unknown.

If you see Saunders, contact the Galion Police Department at 419-468-9111.
