GALION — Don and Marilyn Burkholder, 1655 Fairview Road, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 26.

A family celebration is planned.

Don Burkholder married the former Marilyn Bender on Oct. 26, 1957, at the home of Marilyn’s parents in Galion.

The Burkholders have two children: a son, Michael Burkholder, DDS, who is deceased; and daughter, Paula (Burkholder) and Ray Trudeau of New Albany, Ohio. They have three grandchildren: Courtney, Austin and Brandon Trudeau.

Don is retired after almost 35 years with Gorman-Rupp of Mansfield, Ohio. He previously worked for Westinghouse for 12 years. Marilyn is retired after more than 50 years as a paralegal for the Galion law firm of attorney Kenneth Petri.
