Gospel Concert Series concert Aug. 8

The Gospel Concert Series will hold a free concert starting at 2 p.m. Aug. 8 at the gazebo in Uptowne Galion. The concert includes: In His Name, Created Music Project, Mike Bomgardner, Martin and Danean, Frank Boyd Jr. Ministries, Big City Breaker and the Open Arms Praise Team.

Ice Cream Social Aug. 8

Christ United Methodist Church, 130 E. Walnut St., Galion will be having an Ice Cream Social along with “Pre-Christmas Bazaar” 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Gospel Baptist Church Vacation Bible School Aug. 8

Gospel Baptist Church will hold its Vacation Bible School from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 8 at the church. The program is designed for all ages including parents.

Back to School Fest Aug. 9

Galion Nazarene Church is holding a “Back to School Fest” from 3-6 p.m. Aug. 9. Bookbags with school supplies will be given out while they last and a gently used uniform exchange will also be offered with games, music and food.

Mission program Aug. 11

The Crestline Public Library will host a presentation 6:30 p.m. Aug. 11 by Rev. Matthew Laferty, a 2004 Crestline High School graduate, who will speak on his mission in Moscow, Russia.

Crossroads Church VBS Aug. 12-14

The Crossroads Church in Galion will hold its Vacation Bible School 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 12-14.

Family Movie Night Aug. 22

A family movie night will be held 7 p.m. Aug. 22 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. A Disney movie will also be shown for children.

Ice cream social Aug. 23

Johnsville Grace United Methodist Church will be holding their annual Ice Cream Social 4:30-7 p.m. Aug. 23. The church is located in Johnsville just East of the square on County Road 242, across from the former Johnsville school.

Music Fest Aug. 29

The First United Methodist Church of Crestline is hosting a free Music Fest 4 p.m. Aug. 29 featuring Hymns of Dixie, The Stovers, Luke Rietschlin, Pastor Becky Weamer and husband Joe, with Andy Muntis.
