Monday

12:08 a.m. — Police received a call from the 900 block of East Walnut Street stating that a man was in their living room with a butcher knife, threatening to kill himself. One person was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication.

12:16 a.m. — Police received a call from the 400 block of John Street. A man said his girlfriend has just left and she was threatening suicide via text-messaging.

2:13 a.m. — A resident reported finding a wallet and baby stuff on her street.

7:35 a.m. — Police investigated a call about someone doing open burning in the 800 block of Crew Avenue. An officer said he saw something burning, but could not figure where it was coming from.

1:03 a.m. — A call was received from Galion Community Hospital. The caller said someone tried to cash a check by writing the caller’s n a.m. — e on it.

5:31 a.m. — A caller in the 500 block of North Columbus Street reported a ladder stolen from the yard.

8:02 a.m. — Police investigated a report of a man in the 500 block of Virgil Street was trying to hit people and vehicles.

8:19 a.m. — A car was damaged by a rock in the 700 block of North Market Street.

Tuesday

12: 52 a.m. — An employee at Wendy’s, 2oo Harding Way West, reported that someone stole his wallet while he was working.

3:41 a.m. — A report of a suspicious at Life Line, 357 Ohio 309 was reported.

1:04 a.m. — A report of a cat being hit by a vehicle in the 100 block of East Street was reported. It turns out the cat was actually a ground hot. The deceased ground hot was “disposed of.”

4:17 a.m. — Police received a report from the 400 block of Kroft Street that a car and been ransacked in the past couple of days.

4:49 a.m. — Police received a report of a man in the area of the square in downtown Galion, who had a gun holstered on his waist. Police could not find the man.

5 a.m. — A caller said a couple of kids had taken a grocery cart from Dollar General to Cobey Park. Parents were notified and the cart was returned to the store.

5:54 a.m. — Police investigated a report of a woman walking in the 500 block of Grove Avenue, who appeared “in a daze or something.” Officers were unable to find such a person.

6:39 a.m.— Police received a report of a young kid playing behind a car and near the road in the 300 block of Harding Way. The caller said it appeared no one was watching. Officers talked to the parents, who took care of the situation.

8:26 a.m. — A caller reported a woman, with two kids in the back of her car, driving erratically in the 600 block of North Market Street. Officers were unable to find this person.

11:14 a.m. — A domestic disturbance was investigated in the 100 block of Sixth Avenue. The caller her husband had come over, and there was an altercation, and a window was broken. She asked that police do a couple extra drive-bys overnight.

Wednesday

2:10 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Easton Way told police someone had just looked in her window, and she was very upset about it.

2:45 a.m. — A resident in the 200 block of West Railroad Street reported that someone had just broken a window in a truck.

6:55 a.m. — A resident in the 100 block of South Boston reported her dog “was found dead.”

5:02 a.m. — A worker at Speedway, 746 Harding Way West, reported a man got angry when his card was declined and started beating on a gas pump and then c a.m. — e in and yelled at workers. A man admitted to the incidents but was “very apologetic.”

5:58 a.m — Police received a call from MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield stating that a woman in the ER told them she had been assaulted three times July 7 in Galion. Information was taken for a report.

7:38 a.m. — A resident in the 400 block of South Union Street told police someone was dumping trash and mattresses in the alley behind the vacant home.

8:41 a.m. — Police warned the driver of a four-wheeler who was reportedly driving on property that was off-limits.

11:50 a.m. — Police investigated report of a suspicious person laying down and vomiting in the 100 block of South East Street. EMS was called to the scene for the man, who was “having difficulty breathing.”

Thursday

12:20 a.m. — A semi-truck was involved in a hit-skip accident early Thursday when it drove through the construction area on Portland Way North. Damage was reported to a sign.

2:52 a.m. — Two people at the care center reported seeing two people looking in their window in the 200 block of Diamond Street.

7:25 a.m. — Police investigated a report of a suspicious person in Colby Park. A caller said a man was screaming.

9:34 a.m. — A man found a wallet in the 600 block of Harding Way East and turned it over to police.

12:54 p.m. — Police investigated a report of a suspicious person laying on a picnic table at Cobey Park. They talked to the man, who said he would leave the area.

2:54 p.m. — A resident in the 700 block of Charles Street called police to report a man walking around the backyard.

3:53 p.m. — A call from Tuxedo Alley reported that someone had stolen an arrowhead from the residence.

4:08 p.m. — A resident in the 400 block of North Columbus Street called said someone was stealing plants from the yard.

4:58 p.m. — A Bicycle was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of North Market Street.

5:49 p.m. — A caller reported that she was riding her scooter in the 400 block of South Boston Street when she was bitten on the are by a little dog.

7:01 p.m. — A bank card was found after it was left in the ATM machine at United Bank on Public Square.

9:49 p.m. — A resident 100 block of South Riblet called to complain about loud music coming from a neighbor. The neighbor was contacted and told to turn down the volume.

10:57 p.m. — Police responded to a dispute at Cedargate Apartments. Warnings were issued to two men, who were advised to stay away from one another.

9:17 a.m. — A purse that was found in the 300 block of W Mansfield St was brought to the station. It’s owner was notified.

10:01 a.m. — A report of a semi truck hitting a stop light at Hopley and Whetstone was investigated.

10:23 a.m. — An injury accident in the 100 block of N Sandusky Ave was investigated.

11:26 a.m. — A funeral escort was made for Wise Funeral Home.

2:09 p.m. — A report of a disturbance in the 600 block of S Sandusky Ave. was unfounded.

2:24 p.m. — A Schell Ave resident reported her vehicle hit while parked at her home.

2:45 p.m. — Officers picked up an abandoned bicycle in the 500 block of Prospect St.

4:54 p.m. — Officers assisted with an animal call in the 300 block of S. Walnut St.

3:04 p.m. — A civil stand by was requested in the 200 block of Lawn Av.

3:16 p.m. — A vandalism report was taken in the 200 block of S. Lane St.

3:35 p.m. — A report of identity theft was taken at the Police Department.

4:20 p.m. — Officers investigated a report of junk vehicles in the 100 block of W. Galen St.

9:46 p.m. — Officers mediated a domestic issue in the 500 block of Woodlawn Ave.

10:01 p.m. — A report of suspicious people in the 100 block of Highland Ave. was investigated. They were found to be catching pigeons.

10:57 p.m. — A report of a suspicious male at Indian Creek Apartment. was investigated.

10:59 p.m. — Officers assisted a resident with a raccoon in his basement on Franklin Court.
