Galion man dies in crash

A Galion man died July 23 in a motorcycle crash.

According to police, Robert M. Laforest, 26, of Galion, was heading north on a Nazor Road south of State Route 309 on a 2002 Honda motorcycle.

Reports indicated Laforest failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and went off the east side of the road, where he struck a fence and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Officials added the Galion Fire Department took Laforest to Galion Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The crash is still under investigation
