GALION — Galion Police, with assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force – Richland County Division, apprehended two men Wednesday who were wanted on a variety of charges.

Joshua L. Prosser, 29, Crestline, was arrested at 111 Orchard St., Galion, on a Crawford County warrant in connection with an incident that occurred in Crestline.

Prosser faces charges of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony in Crawford County Common Pleas Court. Matthew J. Hardeman, 30, Mansfield, was also arrested at the residence.

“During the encounter on Orchard Court, officers found Hardeman, and he had an outstanding warrant from Richland County for flight to avoid/abscond supervision,” said Galion Police Chief Brian Saterfield. “Both subjects were transported to the Crawford County Jail.”

Assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s office was requested due to the nature of the alleged crime committed by Prosser and past involvements and knowledge of Prosser,” Saterfield said.

The two men were arrested without incident.
