GALION — The Galion High School Performing Arts department will present its performance of “Acting Can Be Murder,” on Dec. 9, 10 and 11. All performances will take place at the uptown Galion Community Theater, 127 Harding Way West.

The show is a comedy spoof of the great Agatha Christie and Alfred Hitchcock-types of plays. This year’s cast involves 19 students, and for the first time, includes two eighth grade students.

“This is a delightfully fun show full of comedy and drama,” said GHS teacher and director Cheri Laughbaum. “All shows at Galion High School are run by students. Actors, lighting, sound, backstage, and the assistant directors are all current high school students, and they all have worked hard to prepare for this performance.”

Show times are at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 and 10, and 2 p.m. Dec. 11. Tickets are $7 each and can be purchased at the door prior to the show. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 9 and 10, and reopen at 1:15 p.m. for the show Dec. 11.

“The Performing Arts Department does an incredible job preparing our students for their performances, and I know this show will be another quality event,” Superintendent Jim Grubbs said. “I am excited to see this fall’s production and am incredibly proud of Mrs. Laughbaum and the high school and middle school students involved in this production.”
