Three plead not guilty to sex offense during arraignments

BUCYRUS — A Galion man was one of three people arraigned on sex offense charges during arraignments in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Monday.

James Ernsberger, 53, pleaded not guilty to three charges including compelling prostitution, a third-degree felony, unlawful conduct with a minor, a fourth-felony, and importuning, a fifth-degree felony.

Ernsberger was arrested by Galion Police on Oct. 26 at Hess and Railroad Streets after a report that he was allegedly texting a teen girl for sex.

Judge Sean Leuthold set bond for Ernsberger in the amount of $200,000.

Thomas Sibbalds, 56, Bucyrus, is facing five counts of pandering sexually-oriented materials involving a minor and 10 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, all fourth-degree felonies.

Leuthold set bond for Sibbalds in the amount of $100,000. If convicted, Sibbalds could be sentenced to a little over 22 years in prison.

Zachery K. Johnson, 18, Crestline, pleaded not guilty to one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth-degree felony. His bond was set at $75,000.

Others arraigned on Monday include:

Erin Obenour, 28, Galion, two counts of burglary, both second-degree felonies, and two counts of forgery, both fifth-degree felonies, bond set at $250,000.

Brandon L. Nusbaum, 22, Galion, possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, and trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony, bond set at $250,000.

Timothy A. Woods, 42, Galion, two counts of domestic violence, both third-degree felonies, bond set at $150,000.

Jesse L. Phillips-Hornak, 18, Bucyrus, trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony, and one count of misdemeanor theft, bond set at $100,000.

Sheena M. Meeks, 31, Bucyrus, possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, bond set at $75,000.

Joseph M. Strickland, 38, Crestline, possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, bond set at $50,000.

Scott Fearn, 51, Galion, driving under the influence (DUI), a fourth-degree felony, bond set at $50,000.

Paul E. Clum, 53, Galion, theft, a fifth-degree felony, bond set at $25,000.

James P. Davis, 57, Mount Gilead, two counts of theft, both fourth-degree felonies, personal recognizance bond.
