Winter Crisis Program beginning

GALION — Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission (OHCAC) would like to inform the public about the 2016-2017 Winter Crisis Program that begins on Nov. 1 and runs through March 31, 2017.

All income eligible applicants must call the automated appointment hotline to schedule an appointment at 1-866-861-6421. The number may ring busy at times and is for residents in three counties to utilize. Walk-in appointments are available in the mornings on a first-come, first served basis, however, to qualify for a walk-in appointment, the applicant must already have their heat source shut-off or have less than 25 percent of bulk fuels, wood, coal, etc. available. Applicants must have all required documentation with them or will have to schedule another appointment.

Ohio Heartland Community Action (OHCAC) is a tri-county agency that serves ALL of CRAWFORD, MARION and MORROW Counties.

*ALL income eligible applicants who need to apply for the 2016-2017 Winter Crisis Program may start to call the automated appointment hotline at 1-866-861-6421 at 10 a.m. on Oct. 25.
