Reward offered for information on Riverside Drive Thru robbery

COLUMBUS — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) — the trade association for the firearms industry – has announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft of firearms from Riverside Drive Thru, a federal firearms licensee in Galion.

Ther reward offered by ATF is up to $5,000, which will be matched by the NSSF, for a total possible reward of $10,000.

At approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, an individual or individuals broke into Riverside Drive Thru, 814 Harding Way West, and stole 25 handguns. ATF is working with the Galion Police Department to investigate the incident.

This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF rewards in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed retailers.
