GALION — The start of the new school year brings with it great excitement and many stressors for students and their families. One of the biggest is purchasing new school supplies and clothing.

The Galion community stepped up in a major way for the start of the 2016-2017 school year. Donations ranged from standard school supplies to clothing for students.

“We are very grateful to these individuals and organizations for their contributions to our district and our students,” Galion Superintendent Jim Grubbs said. “Galion is a great community, and this is just another example of the support it shows for children and education.”

The Galion City School District would like to thank the following individuals and groups for their contributions to the schools: Howard LaCroy at LLC in Galion, Christ United Methodist Church, First United Church of Christ, Community Christ Church, St. Paul United Methodist, Barb Day, Lynne Goldsmith and Schilling Graphics.
