7/14/2015 – First responders launched a searched for 3 children missing from 190 W. Marion Street in Mt. Gilead Tuesday afternoon shortly after 1 pm.

Initial reports indicated that 3 children under age of 5 were missing. Emergency responders gathered at the location to initiate a door to door search.

Officers from the Mt. Gilead Village Police Department, Cardington Police Department, Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and Morrow County EMS could be seen fanning out on foot from the area the children were reported missing, searching yards, garages, under bushes and other potential hiding places.

An emergency alert phone call was received at 1:35 pm informing residents that the children were missing.

While the search was being conducted, a female driver in a white SUV pulled into the driveway with all 3 children in the vehicle.

It is unclear at this time however; it is suspected that this was a case of miscommunication.

At approximately 1:45 pm another call was received informing residents that the children had been found.
