Campaign in force to keep roadways safe

BUCYRUS — The national ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign is in full force across Crawford County.

According to the Bucyrus Police Department, the campaign to keep local roadways safe began during the Bratwurst Festival on Aug. 19 and will continue through Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5.

The Bucyrus Police Department is participating and will join all law enforcement in focusing efforts to remove impaired drivers from the road in an effort to save lives. Please drive sober, not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, buckle up, eliminate distractions and observe the speed limits.

Traffic patrols are also focused on areas around schools and in school zones with school resuming this week.Please be alert and stop for school

“Please be alert and stop for school buses loading and unloading passengers,” said Koepke.
