Concerts in the park

It was the kind of evening that proves why Galion is a wonderful community in which to live and raise a family. Tuesday, June 14, was the second in this year’s annual Music in the Park concert series sponsored by Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel on South Market Street in Galion.

The Concert featured The Crazy Gringos, a multi-generational energetic and eclectic band that performed a flight of hit tunes highlighting some of the best songs from each decade from the 1950’s to the 2000’s. Their repertoire covered classic rock, bluegrass, surf music, country,as well as tribute songs to music legends Prince and B.B. King. Mild mannered attorney and school teachers by day, The Crazy Gingos, together for 13 years, filled Galion’s Heise Park’s recently renovated band shell with full electric rhythms. Nearly 300 people enjoyed the well-maintained city park on a warm summer evening.

Next week the concert series continues at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, at Heise Park with renown band The RibTicklers. The concert series is free and open to the public. This week, the funeral home staff will be cooking a picnic dinner, served free of charge starting at 6 p.m. Bring a lawn chair.

Owned and operated locally, Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel invests in the Galion community because: no place is more important than home.
