During June, the Crawford County Arts Council will host art activities for kids ages five to 18 at the Crestline Farmers Market during market hours. The first activity is planned for June 14. Pre-school and older children are invited to make sun prints with their adult friends. Middle school and older children will not need a helper. In this activity, shapes are placed on special paper that will make a picture when exposed to sunlight. The prints are developed in plain water. It is fun to watch the images appear, and is also a lesson on how photographs were developed before the technology of digital cameras.
These art events are made possible by a grant from the Ohio Arts Council.
