May 17

12:45 a.m.-William Honaker was issued a citation for driving with an expired registration when the vehicle he was driving was stopped by police on Railroad Street at Hess Street.

1:57 a.m.-A citation for violation of the noise ordinance was issued to Randall Spears after officers were called to the 400 block of Third Avenue for a loud music complaint.

8:19 a.m.-A needle and syringe that were found in the 300 block of South Market Street were turned over to officers.

11:13 a.m.-A report of a man walking on Harding Way West carrying a rifle was investigated. The man advised he was exercising his second amendment rights and was carrying the gun legally under open carry laws.

4:52 p.m.-A report of a bicycle stolen from the library was investigated.

7:59 p.m.-A report of an unruly juvenile was investigated in the 200 block of South Street.

Bucyrus Police

May 17

7:35am Officers investigated a report of a man trespassing at IB Tech.

8:49am A false alarm was received in the 1900 block of Whetstone Street.

11:39am A two car non-injury crash was investigated on West Mansfield Street at Sears.

12:01pm An income tax summons was served at the police department.

12:21pm Officers are investigating a report of a breaking and entering in the 1500 block of Rosedale Avenue.

1:19pm A report of a disturbance in the 700 block of South East Street was investigated.

1:21pm Officers are investigating a report of bad checks in the 800 block of South Sandusky Avenue. Three people were taken into custody pending an investigation. One of the subjects is charged with forgery and two are in custody for probation violations. Jonathan A. Oliver of Marion is charged with complicity and failure to reinstate. Sierra Giles of Galion is charged with falsification. This is part of an ongoing investigation of a burglary near Galion earlier in the week.

2:10pm Officers checked the West Lucas Street area for an open 911 call.

2:58pm A report of an accident in the area of Whetstone and Beal Avenue was investigated. The vehicle had already left the area before officers arrived.

3:28pm A Bucyrus resident came to the police department to report threats she received over messages from someone she knows.

3:32pm A disturbance in the area of Lane and Woodlawn Avenue was investigated.

4:24pm A parking citation for junk vehicles was issued in the 1400 block of Woodlawn Avenue at McKinley.

4:54pm A traffic citation was issued in the area of Beal and Isaac Beal Avenue.

6:27pm A report of a vehicle speeding in the 1400 block of Cullen Court was investigated.

8:01pm A false alarm at the Bucyrus Schools Administration building was investigated.

11:53pm A resident at Bucyrus Plaza reported someone knocking on her door. Officers checked the area and did not locate anyone.
