Tthe National Association of Letter Carriers Annual ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ Food Drive is Saturday, May 14. Participants can help restock local food pantries by leaving non-perishable food items at their mailbox for the letter carrier to pick-up. The letter carrier will deliver it to the local food bank. The letter carriers in association with the US Postal Service, the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, United Way Worldwide, AFL-CIO, Valpak, Valassis and to our newest food drive partner, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union; have been picking up donations of food items on the second Saturday in May for over twenty years. Over that time, the food drive has collected 1.4 billion pounds of food to help feed those in need throughout the country.
