NORTH CENTRAL STATE COLLEGE FOUNDATION NAMES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – Scott Heimann has been named the Executive Director of the North Central State College Foundation announced Dr. Dorey Diab, President, North Central State College.

Scott is a seasoned higher education professional, with years of experience in annual and planned giving, comprehensive and capital campaigns, as well as alumni engagement, donor relations, and various areas in student life.

Prior to North Central State College, Scott worked for The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. He was an integral part of the team during the campus-wide “But for Ohio State” Campaign, a $2.5 billion campaign, $500 million of which the cancer center was responsible for.

Before Ohio State, Scott worked for Ashland University. He successfully managed Ashland’s annual giving campaign to alumni, faculty, staff, and students. Scott also worked on Ashland University’s “Compassion. Community. Commitment. Building a Healthy Tomorrow” campaign for the Dwight Schar College of Nursing building.

According to Mark Krienbihl, President, NCSC Foundation, and Group President, Gorman Rupp, “Scott brings excellent credentials and experience to the position. The 501(c)(3) Foundation has enjoyed generous support from many supporters from the region served by North Central State College. The trustees look forward to working with Scott and addressing funding for critical needs such as student scholarships, instructional equipment and technology.”

“I am honored to serve in this position. I look forward to working with the North Central State College faculty, staff, students, and foundation board members to continue the great works they have established and look to increase the support and efforts of NCSC in Ashland, Crawford, and Richland counties,” said Heimann.

GALION NATIVE GRADUATES FROM OHIO WESLEYAN – Shane Gorbett of Galion graduated May 10 from Ohio Wesleyan University. Gorbett earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Ohio Wesleyan’s Class of 2015 included 350 spring, summer, and fall graduates, with 62 cum laude, 20 magna cum laude, and 20 summa cum laude honorees.

FINDLAY ANNOUNCES DEAN’S LIST – The Dean’s List for the spring 2015 semester at The University of Findlay has been announced. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

* Makenzie Ricker of Bucyrus. Ricker earned a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

* Shaela Rinehart of Galion. Rinehart earned a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

* Michelle Waines of Crestline.

AREA STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM MIAMI UNIVERSITY – Miami University awarded 4,101 degrees to students during spring commencement exercises May 16, 2015 in Yager Stadium.
