Anyone who is interested in participating in the process to bring rail service back to Galion as part of the 3C corridor, will want to complete the survey being conducted by the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The survey is online at: http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/Rail/ Programs/passenger/3CisME/Lists/Survey/NewForm.aspx

After completing the survey, one can look at the current results, which include the zip codes of people responding to the survey. Monday evening, less than 30 people from Galion’s zip code had taken the time to complete the survey.

Whether or not a community is successful in bringing federal stimulus dollars home does seem to be connected with the amount of local interest and support in specific projects. Galion area residents are encouraged to take the time to visit the ODOT Web site to support a stop on the 3C corridor in Galion. Comments are accepted at the end of the survey.
